Byakuya's opponent has a point tho. Who declared that hollows are evil and the Shinigamis are saviours that eradicate hollows. It is the hollows' directive to eat souls as their diet, anything other than that and they're forced to eat their own kind. Just because they harm humanity for their own survival, it means they don't have the right to live? If yes, then it's the same case for humans. Humans take advantage of everything in their surrounding just to survive. They kill animals and other living beings just to survive but it is seen as a normal act. But when other species try to do that it will be seen as evil. Hollows are just another beings that are trying to live through the cruelty of the world. It's just unfortunate that one of their main source of food are human souls. This is just like Parasyte and Tokyo Ghoul all over again. Other beings that are being a threat to humanity just by trying to survive.

But in this arc's case, the Shinigami's are trying to stop Aizen's plan so I think it's justified. (idk why Aizen wants to go to the Soul Society's royal place tho)

They were given permission tho so 🤷‍♂️ and I'm rewatching so it won't be 100% accurate but I'm pretty sure it was stated before that Hollows dying is part of the balance and they don't actually die. They go back to being humans or they go to SS or something like that. Either way they don't permanently die and Quincy powers just eliminate them.

Well Hollows are human souls that went "bad". Though maybe they couldn't help it, like Orihime's brother. Soul Reapers purify Hollows and return them back to normal again. Also Hollows don't really need to eat souls as food, they just crave to eat souls and therefore do it.

Also his talking about "Right" is meaningless. Humans don't need the right to kill animals, we do it because we have the power to do so and because we needed to (you could argue we don't need to anymore, since everyone could become a vegetarian...). "Right" is made up by humans, it doesn't exist in the natural world. You either do something or don't, right can't stop you.

As for Parasite, yea "evil" is a subjective term. But if there's a species that wants to slaughter humanity by the billions, I kinda expect you as a human to fight that with everything you got, regardless of whether they are evil or not, as it is irrelevant. You're not gonna stand there and think: "Well they kill to feed so they're not evil so I'm gonna let them slaughter me" =)
